Congratulations of starting your journey in finance! The Securities Industries Essentials is the first course, among many, that allows you to participate in the securities industry.

It's an essential first step because in order to obtain additional licensing, such as the Series 7 (General Securities Representative), which actually qualifies representatives to solicit, purchase, and sell security products.

The purpose of the exam is to assess your knowledge of basic knowledge about securities, the markets that govern them, regulatory bodies, and what your role is as a registered representative.

You'll need to know rough concepts and have the ability to do some basic calculations (I know, math can be scary, but it's nothing too difficult -- you've got this!).
